Pakistan, a failed country: US Congressman tells Gilani

In US, American Congressman Dana Rohrabacher wrote a letter to Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, about the condition of Pakistan that is a failed state and no amount of US aid money will ever change that. Mr Rohrabacher wrote in a letter to Gilani, ” It is becoming increasingly clear to Members of the US Congress that Pakistan is a failed state and no amount of US aid money will ever change that.

In US, Mr. Rohrabacher condemned a recent police action that resulted in the death of four Baluchi men. He wrote, “Pakistan’s future will remain bleak and marred by political violence as long as the Pakistani government and military continue to deny ethnic groups within Pakistan a right to self-determination,” According to Mr. Rohrabacher in US, American aid money by US for Pakistan will dry up. It is clear from the point that Pakistani military and other intelligence services have for years diverted for the help of the people of Balochistan and many other province of Pakistan, for the financial support of terrorism and for buying weapons to keep down their own people.

Mr Rohrabacher is Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee in US. On 17 February 2012 in US, Mr Rohrabacher along with Congressman Steve King and Louie Gohmert, represented a legislation expressing the sense of Congress in US that the people of Balochistan have a “right to self-determination and to their own sovereign country.” He said that Pakistan’s future would remain dark if didn’t it not gave freedom to its people.
