In Pakistan, according to the statement of military, on 9th July 2012, gunman opened fire on a riverside military encampment in eastern Pakistan, in that area violence is so rare and at least six soldiers and a policeman killed. Thousands hardline Islamist groups supporters, on the eve of the attack, passed through the area north of Lahore, capital of Punjab province, however, officials confirmed that there was no evidence of their linking to the attack. As per the military statement a small rescue party had camped on the coast of river to search for the bodies of drowned or missing pilots.

Early Morning at 9th July 2012, few unknown attackers opened fire on the rescue party in Pakistan, which resulted in the shahadat of six security forces personnel.
